Saturday 2nd September 2017, proved to be a successful village show for Greens Norton. This was the first show since the new committee had taken over.
The number of exhibits had increased on the previous year, with some people exhibiting for the first time.
The doors opened at 2.30pm and around 150 people joined us to view the wonderful exhibits, visited the Butchers Arms pop up bar, sampled homemade tea and cake and voted for our new logo, which is being used for the first time, in this article. The knitting group and sewing group also exhibited and demonstrated their craft which is performed, here in Greens Norton.
The standard of entries this year was exceptionally high. We had a combination of first time and seasoned exhibitors. Seeing the delight and sometimes surprise of our exhibitors winning was fantastic.
As Chair of the committee, I would personally like to thank all of the Committee and helpers who made the event possible. I would also like to thank everyone who exhibited and attended the show. Lastly, a huge thank you for your generosity shown in the raffle and for the money raised in conjunction with the British Legion.
